Ohara’s employee has been selected as a member of 54th Japanese Antarctica Research Expedition
Naoto Furumi of Ohara’s production division has been selected as a member of the winter party of the 54th Japanese Antarctica Research Expedition. He served as a member of the 37th Expedition, and this is his second service.
Mr. Furumi is primarily responsible for the maintenance of various machinery and equipment, including snow vehicles.
He will depart from Narita to Fremantle in late November, and there go on board the Antarctic vessel “Shirase” bound for Showa Station.
The announcement was carried in the Niigata Nippo on June 23rd.
Ohara held a commemoration ceremony celebrating its 105th year in business
Ohara celebrated its 105th anniversary on May 14th.
A commemoration ceremony was held to commend long-standing employees and had a Shinto ceremony.
